Laptop checkout

Important policy note:

If a parent wants to use a child's library card to check out a laptop, this is permissible IF the child is present.

If the child is not with them, then they have to use their own card.

This came up today at PLE and Tula was able to get confirmation from Central Circulation that this was the policy for HPL.

Update on the coupons and leftover prizes from SRP! ---

Hello team,

Summer is officially over! Time to send back any leftover Scholastic prize books you have. Please send them to Central Programming: ATTN: Tiffany Wise so that we can have them ready for next year.

If you have certificates left over, you should save them for the luchador mask craft (or any other cardstock-requiring craft you might want to do in the future).

If you have any other coupons left over, please shred them!

Hello,

Wanted to updated everyone that YES Prep does have early dismissal EVERY Wednesday. I could not get an accurate confirmation as to what time this was for the Fifth Ward Branch, but I will try to contact them directly tomorrow to find out. I believe the students get out at 12:30 though. So do not be alarmed if you see students coming in on Wednesdays with YES Prep attire on before the curfew lifts.
